Would you mind posting pics of your basements? I'm trying to get some different ideas on how I want to finish the basement in my new house.
Thanks in advance.

I hate my basement... rejects from Trading Spaces must have gotten hold of it before we moved in... I hate faux brick (no offense to the above shots) and panelling.... I'm tearing all that shit out when I have the $$ to redecorate...
We still have that faux wood panelling in our basement.
It's been painted though...so it doesn't look like it at all. But still...it's there.
I wish my basement was useful, all it is is cement floors and walls, brick pillars, and unfinished ceilings with alot of pipes, and it's actually like I have TWo basements (they're seperated by a wall and a door) and hte other one's the same, only it has a weird shelving unit thing, and carpets thrown over it, and it holds all the toys from when i was younger
Thanks for the pics. Talking about going from one extreme to the other, lol.
The basement in my new house is currently just cement walls and floors with the mechanical area already walled and sectioned off.
Considering that the wife said my toys will only be in the basement, I don't see it staying in its current state for too long Just trying to get some additional ideas for my plan.
I like the look of a high end '50s hunting lodge............
Knotty pine & orange shellac rule!
